BIG TOPIC #1: Medical Examiners: 3rd Class ($100 - $125)
                            - Must be done BEFORE you can solo (you can start flying now) -  - here's what you can expect to qualify
                            - Take MedExpress control number with you

                            - Understand the 3 classes of medicals, how long they're good for, and privileges each allows
                            - 2017 Medical Reform highlights (here's the actual FAA rules page and the FAQs - see Q17-19)

BIG TOPIC #2: Certificates, Ratings, Endorsements (Handout):
                            - CERTIFICATES (license):  Sport, Recreational, Private, Commercial, CFI, ATP
                            - RATINGS (on license): Instrument, Instrument Instructor, Multi-engine, Seaplane, Helicopter,
                                    -- "Type Rating" for any a/c over 12,500# gross weight
                            - ENDORSEMENTS (in logbook): Complex, High Performance, Tail Wheel, High Altitude
                            - LIMITATIONS (examples): Must wear glasses, must wear prosthetic leg, no night, 50 nm radius from home, etc.

Little Topic: Post 9/11 Requirements:  Before first flight, must show ORIGINAL birth certificate or passport to the CFI and enter it into record
                     - Non-US citizens must apply for Alien Flight Student Program ($130)

Miscellany: ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter) batteries (replace at 1/2 life, or 1 hr use), frequencies (121.5 and 406) and other  (test during 1st five minutes after the hour)

HOMEWORK: Next set of practice questions:  H937, H996, J15, J22, M52 - 13 q's
 -- take it over and over until you achieve 100%; then send a screenshot to Colonel for credit
