This information was updated from new information found in the parish
registers of Colyton and other nearby towns. It alters data on this family as given in the original Wicker/Whicker book, and may be found in the May, 1996 issue of the Wicker/Whicker Newsletter, Vol. 5, No. 3, the original source being the Colyton Parish registers or other nearby parish records. The identification numbers, however, I have left the same, as they are for the purpose of finding corresponding entries between this data base and the original book. Therefore you will find that the ID numbers do not match the order of the children of Henry. Henry performed some service for King Henry VIII and was awarded the estate "Knowle" as his holdings. His taxes on the 1524 subsidy roll were for land. His
son, Richard, later owned this original grant, and it was mistakenly stated in the book that Richard was the original owner. rcw
